Alegría Vineyards
Alegría Vineyards is an historic, diverse, sustainably-farmed, 32-acre farm near the confluence of Dry Creek and the Russian River, in the Middle Reach of the Russian River Valley, near Healdsburg, California. “Alegría” means happiness and joy in Spanish and Portuguese.
“The northeastern corner of the Russian River Valley, where Alegría Vineyard is located, is a unique place, warmer than the chilly central/western portion but still substantially cooler than the adjacent Dry Creek Valley.” –– Wine Enthusiast, August 1997
Alegría Vineyards has been a consistent source of high quality grapes for more than a century. Many wineries have produced Alegría vineyard-designated wines.
Our vines are planted in alluvial river terrace soils — clay loam interspersed with volcanic and oceanic stones. The topography varies from gently sloping to a steep hillside.
