Zach in his happy place. He has worked in Alegria Vineyards for 16 years and knows every vine.
Sheep!
Early in the year, before budbreak, sheep trim the cover crop when it is too wet to use a mower. It makes it easier for Bill, Zach, and Diana to prune the vines. Sheep manure increases the health and diversity of the soil microbiome.
